The Lady and the Dale

We created over an hour of animation and graphics for this 4 part documentary miniseries for HBO. It tells the story of the rise and fall Elizabeth Carmichael, the inventor of a 3 wheeled car in the 1970's. We brought old photos to life by cutting them out and animating them in a DIY stop motion style. We combined hand drawn animations with the photos and kaleidoscopic imagery to create a larger than life, hyper stylized look. We also created all the titles, newspaper and photo treatments.
