11/06/09 Sean directed the pilot for an NBC Digital show which was produced by SXM. They mention it in this TV Week article.
11/06/08 We just finished doing all the titles and animated sequences for Bronx Princess, a short documentary that will air on PBS soon. It was directed by Yoni Brook and Musa Syeed, the same powerhouse team who brought you A Son's Sacrifice. Bronx Princess will premier in Amsterdam at IDFA at the end of the month. Our film, I Think We're Alone Now, will also be screening there.
6/16/08 Resolved, the documentary film that we did animation for, is having it's premium cable debut tomorrow night (monday, 6/19 at 9 pm) on hbo. you are probably anxious to know what we have been up to in the last 5 months since our last news posting. besides a few vacations, we finished the tally hall video for ruler of everything, helped with a few bits for trl host damien fahey's mtv.com show, damien's other show, did the behind the scenes for a mayday parade music video, made 2 short documentary pods for current tv (one on sean's brother ryan and his poker, and the other on a sports betting agent), made a short film called back writing, and another short called the silence of the night and are about to finish the pilot for a new animated show we are developing.
1/28/08 sean's feature documentary, i think we're alone now, premiered at slamdance and got lots of good press . you can check the web site to find out where it will be screening next. in other news, a short animation lydia made with ben has been shortlisted in the 60 seconds of fame film festival by the bafta (it's like the british oscars some say) and it screens on bbc london. click here to watch. please vote so that lydia gets to dress up and go to the show. if you see her, be sure to pat her on her back.
1/24/08 the galactic video we made with abbey luck premiered at spinner.com
12/14/07 the aol ads are done and ready to be viewed. one is called "protest" and is an ad for spinner.com. the other is called "bacon" and it is for aol food. both "bacon" and "protest" are on youtube as well.
11/22/07 we just finished shooting 2 aol internet ads with the fine people at akqa. in other news, our feature documentary, i think we're alone now, will be premiering soon at a festival near you. if you go to the web site you can sign up for updates.
11/14/07 there is a little blurb about us in the new creativity magazine in the director's to watch section. it's also online. it says awesome and modest is made up of sean and abbey, instead of sean and lydia. (although abbey does help on most things we do)
11/08/07 we will produce another northern state video soon for the song "mother may i". it will be directed by jesse hicks.
11/05/07 here is the short little audience movie sean made for first sundays, called "stop tapping". it was based on a suggestion from an audience member, and stars gizella shanfeld, a random audience member. in other news, sean helped his mates alessandro and jesse shoot part of their internet show "roomies".
11/01/07 my new animated ben jelen video for "where do we go" is now on youtube, or you can see a quicktime here. why did i make another video for the same song, you ask? well the story goes a little like this...once upon a time i was asked to make a video for ben jelen's new hit song, "where do we go". during the planning process, i made this animatic. after i showed them my first cut of the video, they said they wanted me to add drawings and words from the animatic to it, which i did for the final cut of the last "where do we go" video. some time passed and they decided they wanted a video that was all drawings. i asked mickey sumner to come help me draw the girl parts, and i drew the boy parts. abbey luck helped do a lot of the animation and drawings as well, and then i gave them my cut of the new video. they requested that i censor out their private parts, which i did, and now it's finished.
10/29/07 sean is making the audience movie for the next first sundays screening on november 4th at 7 pm. in other news we are making an animated music video for tally hall that will be completed by the end of the year. in even other news the we the kings rock/power pop/alternative video we made is on youtube and features a full extension.
10/23/07 lydia just finished producing a hit video for sofia strati, which was directed by harry mavroh, and you can see some behind the scenes photographs here . in other news, inspired by her recent interview with daniel radcliffe for his new movie the december boys, lydia has decided to dress up as harry potter this halloween. in even other news, lydia's old film the dog burglar is going to be playing in mumbai, india. if you see her, be sure to pat her on the back.

9/07/07 sean is helping abbey make a stop animation video with black and white pieces of paper about the nature of the universe. it is for a galactic song featuring juvenile, for the title track on their new album "from the corner to the block". sean is also making a hand drawn video for ben jelen for his hit song "where do we go". (yes, same song as before, but brand new video.) in other news, here are some behind the scenes photos from the we the kings shoot in new jersey.
8/29/07 our video for prophet omega just won the music video category and the surabaya film festival in indonesia. in other news, our northern state state video is the #3 video on the editor picks of the week on rollingstone.com. also, the trailer for our upcoming documentary, "i think we're alone now", is posted on digg.com right now. if you don't have anything else to do, you should go "digg it" and help boost it up in the rankings.

8/16/07 sean just started a blog. not the kind of blog you're thinking of, with lots of words and what not. a drawing blog.
8/14/07 we finished the "can't stop" video for sam champion. in other news, sean and abbey made a silly short called "science machine" that just got 3rd prize in the prestigious green card pictures short film competition. alessandro minoli was the voice behind both characters.
8/13/07 the daily reel, a totally hot web site that tells you what clips to watch, just wrote an article on our video for ben jelen.
8/08/07 two of lydia's short films are playing at an independent film festival in the city of her birth; surabaya, indonesia. also playing is the prophet omega music video we made a while back. if you see lydia, be sure to pat her on the back. in other news, we will be making a new music video for we the kings shortly. in even other news, alessandro minoli, sean and lydia made a short film called best friends just for kicks.

7/02/07 the resolved news keeps pouring in. It just won the audience award at the 2007 la film festival. in other news, lydia is the new movie correspondent for milk magazine in Hong Kong. She just finished an exclusive one on one interview with jodie foster for her new movie, the brave one. lydia also writes for the south china morning post and the apple daily. if you see her, pat her on the back.
6/25/07 resolved, the documentary on high school debate that we did animation for with abbey luck, has a very positive review in variety. in other news, we made a silly pilot episode for an internet show called "sunset stables".
6/19/07 the ben jelen video for "where do we go" is up now. it can also be seen on ben jelen's new web site. it was shot by jon "chillah" chen, and you can see a different version on his web site. which one do you like better?
6/15/07 sean made a new movie with alessandro called "sammy jenkins: the world's most horrible man". it's also on youtube. in other news, we will be making new music videos for sam champion and northern state shortly.
6/11/07 sean made a crappy animated short today. it's called "inside the mind of a flasher" and you can see it in quicktime or on youtube.
6/08/07 the "oh mandy" video will be playing at the LA film festival, in the eclectic mix 1 program on june 24th, and june 28th.
6/07/07 lydia has a giant photograph of her face projected onto a skyscraper, alongside her mother's and 248 others as part of agnes winter's tribute to smiling new yorkers in her "monument to smile". lydia will be at the bottom. do visit and say hello . if you see her be sure to give her a pat on the back.

6/05/07 the web site for i think we're alone now has dropped. it's a feature documentary that we have been working on for way too many years about two obsessed tiffany fans. if all goes according to plan, it should be done in september. phil buccellato and jordy cohen are on the team.

5/10/07 while sifting through some wedding footage we came across this little nugget that i have packaged into a short film. it is titled "elaine",was created by ariel schulman, and discovered by sean donnelly.
5/09/07 sean, abbey and lydia painted a mural in a living area for children with cerebral paulsey on cinco de mayo during their party. you can see a quicktime here.
5/07/07 the ahab video played at the pioneer theater last night. despite sean's terrible q + a session, our video won the judges award for the program.
5/01/07 resolved, the documentary about debate that we did animated sequences for, will be premiering at the 2007 Los Angeles Film Festival in June. It will be playing at the following times:
